The FBI Files was a American television docudrama series (1998-2006) carried by the Discovery Channel cable network and produced by New Dominion Pictures of Suffolk, Virginia. The show was canceled by the Discovery channel after it aired its final episode on March 24, 2006, although it's sister network, Investigation Discovery, airs re-runs of the show。

2014年春季 NHK 日剧SP 　　女優の田中麗奈が、田中美絵氏の著書を原案にドラマ化する「ダンナ様はFBI ～愛のミッション～」に主演することがわかった。オファーを受けた田中は脚本を読み、「本当の話とは思わなかったので良くできたラブコメディだなと思ったのですが、実話というのを聞き、脚本に感じる捉え方がガラッと変わった」という。演出は、田中とは「山桜」以来3度目のタッグとなる篠原哲雄監督が手がける。 　　今作は、駆け出しのコピーライターだった田中氏が、元FBIの敏腕捜査官だったダーリンによって「できる女」へと変身していく、ハートウォーミングなドキュメンタリードラマ。ドラマでは、ダーリンが繰り出すハチャメチャなミッションに取り組む田中氏の姿を描くだけでなく、これまで同名エッセイでもつづられることがなかった仕事や子育てなど、様々なエピソードを盛り込みながら構成する。 　　田中は、今作を「夫婦の絆、愛についてちょっと考えさせられる可愛らしいドキュメンタリーのラブストーリーです」と説明。さらに、「恋して希望にあふれて結婚しても、必ず価値観の違いでぶつかったり子育てのことでケンカがあったり、生活のために仕事も夢ばかりみていられない。それでもお互いの存在に感謝し、支えられ、励まされ、生涯をともにするということ。そんなご夫婦の本当の話です。自身に置き換えて見てみたら面白いかもしれません」と見どころを語った。 　　また、3度目となる篠原監督との仕事についても、「本当にご縁に感謝しています。篠原さんは、『麗奈ちゃんの最近の役は、麗奈ちゃん自身の性格と反対なのが多い気がするね』と言われました。それは、とてもほっとした言葉でした。本当の私のことを知ってくれて、気にしてくださっている方がいるというのは、とっても心強いものなんだなって」と全幅の信頼を寄せる。一方の篠原監督も、「田中美絵さんという、自立した時代の先駆者としての女性を演じられる人として、田中麗奈さんがぴったりだと感じました。また同時に、麗奈さんの持つまろやかな雰囲気も役柄に合っていると思いました」と起用理由を話している。 　　なお、田中のほかエリック・ボシック、ドーキンズ英里奈、三根梓、木下ほうか、北見敏之、田島令子らが出演。「ダンナ様はFBI ～愛のミッション～」は、5月11日午後10時からNHK BSプレミアムで放送予定。
